RoughRest

Our goal is to assist homeless individuals by providing them with a waterproof sleeping bag cover that can be transformed into a backpack during the day. My own outdoor experience during the army showed me how such a simple device can greatly enhance day-to-day comfort. The project would be self-financed. The critical components of our project include : Material Source and Sustainability : We plan to source materials through upcycling, specifically using discarded tarpaulin from agricultural farms and waste from the army. This not only addresses environmental concerns but also gives a second life to materials that would otherwise go to waste. Social Impact : Beyond the physical product, RoughRest aims to sensitise the public to the harsh impact of winter on people experiencing homelessness through a comprehensive social media campaign. This will include interviews with specialists and charities, shedding light on the challenges faced by those without shelter. Generational Initiative : RoughRest is driven by the energy and determination of the young generation, eager to bring about positive change and make a lasting impact.
